A Guide to Distance Learning: For Early Childhood Students

You can take classes towards an early childhood degree without ever leaving home. Now, several colleges in the SUNY system have courses that are totally online, asynchronous. You do not have to be online at a specific time. These are credit-bearing courses, the same ones that you would take on the college campus, taught by regular college faculty. There is no difference on your transcript between a distance learning course and a traditional classroom course. With careful planning you can work towards a degree from a distance. More and more courses are being added every semester. Seek information for the closest college to you or from a college that has the degree and courses that you want. Funding for this program is provided by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services through a contractual agreement with the Research Foundation State University of New York.
